Why call us

Fix first. Replace only when it makes sense.

Don't throw away an older lock — we can often fix it. Most of today's replacements are cheaply made and not designed to last more than a few years. We stock hard-to-find parts and employ a small machine shop when needed so older and newer locks keep working.

We know security defects that get built into North Valley homes at manufacture — like deadbolts that never fully throw and can be opened from outside with an icepick. Those are often repaired while we are already on site, instead of waiting for a painful surprise.

Matching hardware matters. Emtek, Baldwin, Schlage Mediterranean latches, mortise and tubular locks, odd keys, holy-device and institutional specialty work, and discontinued patterns are part of the everyday shop. Don't cheapen a careful home with one mismatched aftermarket replacement.

Cave Creek Lock no longer opens vehicles.

What “local” still means here

Arizona has plenty of nameless locksmith vans. Cave Creek Lock has a location, a family name, and decades in the same communities. That matters when you are calling from out of state to secure a house before closing — or when you simply need keys cut correctly the first time.

Secure before closing

Buying a home? We can examine the locks, make the urgent repairs so the house is secured, and leave a clear quote for later work after acquisition. Safeguard what is already there instead of paying to replace good hardware by default.

Vacant-home awareness

Unoccupied homes in the heat of summer can attract opportunistic use. Spiking electric bills and other quiet warning signs are worth paying attention to. Strong locks and a locksmith who knows the area help you stay ahead of ugly surprises.

Since 1970

Started by Howie Weingard and carried on by son Bill — local knowledge that spans generations of North Valley homes.

Licensed & insured

Bonded and insured for $2 million, with accountability a traveling truck cannot match.

Repair-minded

We stock parts and fix locks that still belong on your property instead of pushing cheap replacements.

Real location

A shop in Cave Creek means you can call, visit for keys, and rely on us after the invoice.
